9 youngsters from yaps came down to bangalore to explore the city & enjoy the Indian Hospitality….Our Past HC Jagruti & Sq.Leg Yogesh took them for a fun fellowship evening. They wanted some street shopping so commercial street, Brigade road it was. When they got exhausted with the cultural burst in India, they were hosted for a fellowship dinner at K.S.C.A club lounge by Jagruti & Yogesh. Needless to say it is a great place to unwind with peppy numbers played on request & some yummy continental & Indian snacks followed by scrumptious dinner It was time for some international bonding

A Grand Salute To Naari Shakti

All things are bright and beautifulEveryone is a creature of God
God loves us all equally…….

I remember the days when I used to sing this prayer in my morning school assembly, having believe in each and every word that I sang, that God has given each and everyone an equal right to live life.

Years passed, I grew up. Civics as a subject was introduced, where we were taught about our Fundamental Rights. Among all other rights there was a Right To Equality, which is given to everyone in our country, be it of any caste, culture, creed or religion. Everyone is equal in the eyes of Law. I believed it still.

Then I grew up more, came out of my parents umbrella, and saw the world for the first time in its real sense, and what do I see……?? Difference and disparity in each and every sphere. Society still under the pressure of Class System, religious norms still stronger than Humanity, and worst of all the situation of WOMEN….the class of society we claim to be so proud of, we have given her the status of a Goddess, we call her NAARI SHAKTI.

But is she actually treated like a Godess, considered as the Naari Shakti. The sorry answer is NOO… We have become doctors, lawyers, pilots, soldiers, astronauts, Prime Minister and even President, you name the field and we are there. But still, there is such a larger section of our society where lack of education, suppression, dowry, poor nutrition, sex discrimination etc are still prominent.

Even if it is an under privileged section of society a women is not onlya Home Maker these days, she has also become a Bread Earner. So, when she is proving her worth 100%, then why she should be treated like a second citizen.

For that we have to work constantly, by educating them, by giving them equal opportunities to flourish, by helping them in any way it is possible.

The steps can be small, but the results will for sure be big with the passage of time.

LLC-110 dedicates its today’s project to this great movement of WOMEN EMPOWERMENT, by providing them clothes, and few moments of fun to recharge themselves.

A Grand Salute To NAARI SHAKTI.

It was our lovely HC Ashwini’s birthday….A poised lady with a sweet smile always ready to answer all our questions patiently….An Icon in LCIndia & International scene too….How do you make such a lady feel special. We decided to surprise her on her birthday. We asked her hubby dear what would be a good time to find her home & on his advice Cr.Khushboo, Cr.Kripa, Cr.Priyanka went around 5.30 p.m. at her Residence in R.T. Nagar on 26th August. She was very surprised as she didn’t expect us….She was touched with this gesture on our part. We had a small ceremonial cake cutting in presence of her husband & daughter Namu & bid our byes after tea & light refreshments.
Rightfully on this Woman’s Equality Day….we are priviliege to have you as our guiding light Ashwini & it was our pleasure to be a reason for one more sweet smile to a wonderful woman of Substance.

Dear Circlers

Greetings!!!

Being born in the girl power generation, it’s hard to believe that women didn’t have the right to vote when your great-grandma was your age. August 26th marks Women’s Equality Day, which celebrates the huge achievements women have made.

Women’s Equality Day isn’t really a balloons and cake kind of holiday. It’s a day to reflect on how far women have come in the last century and how far they still have to go.

To empower one such woman, we at MLC 2 donated a Usha Sewing Machine(RJSS) to V.Usha Rani, aged 32 yrs, a widow with 2 sons.

Circlers present: Shveta Mehra, Shweta Nahar, Reema Malhotra and Mehakk Kinger

Cost : Rs.6400/- (with motor)

Beneficiary: Ms. Usha Rani will now be able to sustain a larger income for her family of 2 sons who was earning Rs.1000 per month.
