Bhoomi poojan: 20th oct 2014 umarkui village near Vansda

Lasting value of any building lies in its foundation. No building can be erected on a weak foundation. So on 20th oct. we at slc 72 and srt 135 once again headed for commencement of another dream project I.e. bhoomi poojan for yet another building block around 90 Kms from Surat with one wish in our hearts: another block which will be responsible for laying a solid foundation in educating the children of umarkui village.
Early morning at 6:30 am tablers and Circlers gathered at “Turning point” to begin their 2hrs journey to Umarkui village . Midway we stopped for breakfast and rounds of gossip and continued our journey to reach the venue.
Amidst chants of mantras, our pundit Ji performed several rituals. After the bhoomi poojan the school children were made to play a game of housie where-in they were divided in groups of 6-8 and each group had one Circler or tabler as Incharge. They were excited and enjoyed the game as much as we enjoyed seeing their brilliant smiles. The game was followed by distribution of 4000 pencils(which will fulfill their annual requirement), 150 mats and 150 cupcakes worth Rs 10000/-

We will be building 8 classrooms for children of Class I to VII and the construction cost would be 36 lacs. This is our dream and we will be successful because we believe in-

“Only as high as I reach can I grow, Only as far as I seek can I go,Only as deep as I look can I see, Only as much as I dream can I be.”
