SLC72 celebrated Christmas n New Year with the children of our adopted school

Greetings!
Pl. find encl. below the report of Christmas and New Year Celebration at this years adopted school Rundh Kendriya Shala.

Ravindra Nath Tagore once quoted that ” I slept and dreamt that life was Joy, I awoke and saw that life was service, I acted and Behold, service was joy.”

We at SLC72, experience this joy again and again with every project that we do. We celebrated Christmas and New Year with the children of our adopted school Rundh Kendriya Shala and were surprised to know that they were celebrating these occasions for the first time. We gave them Santa Caps which they very happily wore and each one of them got a goodie bag consisting of smiley ball, chocolate pie and chocolates as Christmas gift.

We also played MAGIC WAND game as per this month’s Newsletter where in three teams were made and one child out of each team was chosen to be decorated as Christmas tree. They participated with great zeal and we all enjoyed the whole activity very much. We also played the game Corner-corner.

Thereafter, we played catchy Foot tapping songs to which these children danced to their hearts content. We even shot a video of the children while dancing which is worth watching. They were so happy that when we were leaving they all kept saying in Gujarati “aoo jo” meaning “pl. come again”.

We also felicitated the teachers and staff of the school with Pens.

Indeed, a highly satisfying experience!

The total cost of this project was Rs 4430/-
