Happy September – CPLC46

The month of September marks onset of autumn season in India it also means with september equinox setting in the days shall gradually become smaller and nights longer- now that’s a wow;)
September also marks the harvesting season setting for farmers and Onam is celebrated in Kerala with much fun and fervor.
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated all over the country especially in Maharashtra for over 10 days with huge pandals being decorated all over for welcoming ‘Ganeshji Maharaj’ the God denotes welcoming prosperity and good fortune for year to come. We can celebrate the occasion with kids by asking them to make a collage out of picture cutouts appearing in the newspapers. And as prize treat them with sweet little modaks:)

September also marks the beginning of ‘Pitri Paksha’ wherein for 15 days food is offered to Brahmins in remembrance of ancestors. Many rituals are associated with the same and varies all over the country. Wishing everyone a Happy Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

Hangover 2013 Felloship!!

HANGOVER! Area VI AGM 2013

As Tr. Amit rightly said – “our AAGM was like a full masaledar bollywood move!”

It had all the makings of a record breaking blockbuster- great convenors who managed to pull off a great show showcasing spectacular insight and leadership!

We had wonderful themes Like Titanic wherein we had sitting arrangements inside the pool with 1’ water along with a terrific karaoke session; splash pool party; sports; Cocktail night- where each table dressed as a distinct cocktail; Oscar Night- Red carpet theme- meetings and not to forget delicious hot food at ungodly hours which kept all of us extremely well fed and happyJ

Also, we had a fully functional crèche throughout the AAGM to ensure the ladies could let their hair down and thoroughly enjoy themselves.

All in all it was a great show complete with meetings, parties, total bonding, great food and fun for everyone!

The best part was the inter Table & Circle fellowship! Truly super duper fun! Looking forward to many more . Wishing the incoming team all the best!!

BLC-19 Teej celebrations

Teej at CDC

LC 19 celebrated Teej in with great aplomb at the CDC complete with festive goodies, Rangoli, bangles, Mehendi and the works! To add to the fun and festivities we had forever 19ers as well as twinklers in attendance.

A sumptuous lunch was laid with live counters of pani puris and Calcutta chat. That was not all, we had yummilicious pastas, noodles, pav Bhaji, chips, sandwiches, Biryani, desserts and juices – all arranged by means of a pot luck where each circler showcased their splendid master chef skills!

We had a fun Rangoli session where the ladies outdid themselves designing lovely rangolis! The pictures will vouch for what I say.

Also we had mehendiwallas to add colour and beauty to the festival.

Cp. Swapna arranged for lovely glass bangles for all the circlers. This was thoroughly enjoyed by each of us.

All in all it was a lovely day full of all things beautiful and delicious!

MMLC 70 & MMRT 95 Wins the 1st runner up at Informal night Area 2

The Spice Sutra Was the Mantra for MMLC 70 & MMRT 95 for One whole month…. We discussed , We Focused, We Planned , We rehearsed, We Laughed , We Giggled….. Out Inter table & Inter Circle Convenors Tr Mandeep and Cr Manpreet left no stone unturned. Make up and costumes where highlight of the evening. Superb coordination throughout the month with Whats App and mails constantly buzzing all the time. Superb time spent in practices, and then came the D day……. The Spice Sutra Informal Night of Area 2. We won the best Cheering table/ circle Award. Cr Mona won the Best Female Dancer Award and We won the Award for 1st Runner up for the night. All our hard work paid off. Three Cheers !!!

BNLC14 Nutrition week Project 2-” HEALTHY DIET,IGNITED MIND” @ ”JNANA MANDIRA” orphange

Dear Friends,

HEALTHY DIET, IGNITED MIND..

BNLC14 did their NUTRITION WEEK Project-2 at the Jnana Mandira Orphanage on 2nd September’13. We distributed fruits, juices and Biscuits to the little children. We unveiled our nutrition week pamphlets and the same was distributed and circulated among the nearby shops and people. It was a great publicity for LC India and RTI. Total cost of the project Rs.1500. A small HRD on healthy food habits was given by the circlers.
